Moving abroad from your home country can be an exciting, exhilarating and deeply fulfilling experience. There can also of course be times where you may feel daunted, unsure, or homesick.
However you are feeling, there is one thing you can always rely on to lift your spirits, and that's the taste of cuisine from your home country. We have many Scottish customers living outside of Scotland who rely on us for their fix of everything from Scotch Pies and Potato Scones to haggis, lorne sausages and even Mother's Pride bread.
Home comforts such as Scottish produce and cuisine can lift the spirits when you're down, be used for celebrations, parties and special occasions, or can be sent as gifts to homesick ex-pat loved ones. Or you can even send to yourself as a treat if you're missing the pleasures of your native food.
Pies
Whilst other UK countries have their own special take on pies and pastries, those who grew up appreciating the distinct tastes of scotch pies, mince bridies and sausage rolls will always have a special place in their hearts for these baked delicacies. As well as traditional takes on the aforementioned, we also stock more unusual yet equally sought after variations such as our famous and celebrated steak and Buckfast pie or our acclaimed steak, chorizo and black pudding pie.
Sausage
Again, if you've moved out of Scotland chances are that your adopted homeland has its own style of sausage. But it's perfectly understandable if now and again you crave nothing more than a good Scottish lorne sausage or steak link sausage. If you want to spice things up a bit we also stock Buckfast Lorne and Sweet Chilli and Irn Bru Chicken Sausages in a nod to two of our countries most treasured beverages. We also suspect there are few other countries in the world (if any at all) where haggis eye lorne sausage can be obtained.
Orkney Beef
For those craving the taste of home, there can be few pleasures greater than that of the taste of Orkney beef. Forget intensive farming and rediscover grass reared beef from family run farms. Whether you're after brisket, braising steak, short ribs or any of a plethora of products from our extensive Orkney beef collection, we've got you covered.
Mother's Pride Bread & Potato Scones
Even if you're still in the UK but have moved away from Scotland, it can be difficult to get a hold of everyday essentials such as Mother's Pride. Its distinctive taste means that once you've got a taste for it, it can be difficult to accept any substitutions. We can deliver Mother's Pride bread to you along with your other Scottish essentials such as potato scones to ensure breakfast is complete.
Pakora
We Scots adore our pakora, but it can be tricky to procure if you've moved away. Again, we have you covered for all your pakora needs with a range that includes haggis, veg, donner meat and chicken, all delivered with dips. These are great for parties and entertaining or as a meal in themselves when you need a taste of home comfort.
Haggis
Whilst some European countries may have similar foods to haggis, there is nothing quite like real Scottish haggis and there are times when nothing else will do.
